Regardless of where Poles live, smells mentioning the memory of home and rest are seen as the most enjoyable – shows the Pyramid of Pleasure Report made by the Lipton brand.
Nearly 60% of Poles lists freshly baked bread as the most pleasant of smells. The differences between the inhabitants of large cities (56.5%) and of the countryside (60.2%) are small. Respondents mentioned the smell of home cake (49.3%), freshly cut grass (44.9%), or the smell of your favorite tea (24.3%). "It turns out that the urban population clearly like the smells that evoke the carefree years of childhood and is associated with relaxation at home. The smell of books, home dough, or your favorite tea, is associated with enjoying the pleasures of everyday life. The report results show how much the Poles appreciate everything associated with peace in their immediate vicinity." – Says Maja Medowska, project coordinator, Lipton brand. The study conducted on PBS DGA 23-25.04.2010 on a representative, random sample of n = 1,076 Poles aged 15 and older. Data do not total 100 because respondents could indicate more than one answer.
